Teignmouth is one of Devon's oldest seaside resorts and is located below the Haldon Hills and on the estuary of the River Teign.
One of the best things about Teignmouth is that the centre of town is flat, making it perfect for wandering along the promenade or going shopping. There are a variety of shops in Teignmouth including national chains and many local independent stores.
Dartmoor National Park's eastern approach or the city of Exeter can be reached by road in 30 minutes whilst Plymouth is about one hour's drive. Public transport links nearby Torbay and the market town of Newton Abbot.

Car Parks: There are a number of pay and display car parks located in Teignmouth including The Point (right on the seafront), East Cliff (on the road to Dawlish), Co-Op, The Docks and other smaller ones.
Toilets: Teignmouth has many public toilets scattered around, including by the Co-Op, East Cliff, at the Point, in East Cliff Car Park and the Den (which also has a separate disabled toilet).
Children: Teignmouth has a number of facilities available for children on the seafront including the Pier, Mini Golf, Tennis Courts, Multi Use Area and an outdoor swimming pool. Nearby in South Devon there is Shaldon Zoo, Paignton Zoo, Living Coasts, Quay West Water Park, Crealy Adventure Park and many more
