Biography

Tricia – a Plymouth maid, born and bred. Honed her skills on cruise ships and the folk clubs of Plymouth and Aberdeen along with the occasional spot on local TV. A writer of finely crafted songs she is recognised for her delicate guitar playing and clear voice.

John – a Scouser in exile he has played folk clubs in the north east and the midlands before relocating to Devon. A songwriter in his own right and a multi-instrumentalist he makes a strong contribution to Silvington’s trademark harmonies.

Meeting as members of Folk on the Moor, now based once again at The Moorland Hotel, Wotter, they began collaborating in 2016. It was indeed folk at first sight. They have 6 albums to their name so far, many of the self-penned songs the result of a synergy which means that the whole is more than the sum of its parts. Their latest offering, “Shadows on the Sand” features 12 original songs all located in Cornwall.
